Karl Barth (1886-1968) has been arguably the most significant and, in one way or another, most influential theologian of the twentieth century. If the number of recent publications on his work is anything to go by, it appears that the twenty-first century will be unable to forget him. The indications are that his shadow still lies across much of what is being done in theology.
This ‘Karl Barth Page’ has been composed with the intention of linking to some of my scholarly papers which hope to:
— Remind academic theology and also the churches of the continuing significance of Barth’s theology;
— Encourage better acquaintance with his thought;
— Challenge many of the ways in which Barth is commonly understood;
— Provide a forum for distributing widely some of my own (developing) thoughts on his life and theology.
